Document Controller
To contribute to effective and efficient project quality management through proper management and control of all project documentation and records, including compiling of manual/computerized records, and maintenance of same by applicable technical requirements, company policies, and procedures.
Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Document Controller
- Create and maintain project documents in existing file management systems. Generate and review certification document packages for quality assurance reviews
- Work closely with contractors, sub-contractors, quality assurance, and quality control team members to ensure QA and project requirements for document management are being met including delivery of project final documentation.
- Development of meeting minutes and administrative tasks as necessary to support the construction team. Ensuring controlled distribution of reviewed documents to team members and final document management systems.
- Interpret contract specifications and applicable standards for project document management, including acceptance requirements for construction drawings, construction plans, procedures, and reports.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive documents and establish/maintain record retention timelines
- Handle records across various departments, and keep other personnel updated on new document versions and how to obtain access.
- Collect and register all technical documents such as drawings and blueprints in the company’s system.
- Support field inspection personnel in materials documentation processes
- Scan and upload documents according to Company procedure.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.

Who we are looking for:
Education
- Graduation from the university
Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations)

Certificates relating to valid professional qualifications:
- • Competency certificate in Document Control.
- • Competency certificate in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
- • ISO 9001:2015 Auditor or Lead Auditor Certificate. A competency certificate in the use of reputable EDMS systems in project management will be considered an advantage.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Communicate (written & oral) in the English language with confidence.
- Good HSE knowledge and skills relative to the role
- Excellent listening skills, assertiveness, and ability to coach subordinates.
- Physically fit and able to work in extreme climatic conditions.
- Able to perceive the mood of a customer or subcontractor and react appropriately.
- Able to read, understand,d and interpret Engineering drawings.
- Resilience under stress
- Demonstrate ability to listen to the views of others and respond in a logical and well-thought-out manner.
- Basic knowledge of materials
- Good knowledge of Quality ManagementSystemsm
- Excellent knowledge of documentation, computer operation, procedures & applicable ERP systems
- Excellent use of MSOfficee packages
Experience
- Minimum of 4~6 years’ experience, relating to quality working marine engineering industries (ship & rig –buildings)
Languages
- English / Arabic
