Duties and Responsibilities :

SENIOR REGISTRAR PERIODONTICS

Abides by the Medical Staff By-Laws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and regulations of the Medical Staff, and those specific to the department.

Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she is responsible according to established policies, protocols, and guidelines of the hospital.

Carries out the full range of clinical duties as assigned by the director of department/head of division by individually approved clinical privileges.

Be specialized in evaluating patients attending Periodontics regarding the severity of illness, and possible or expected complications, administrating care, and coordinating with other periodontist practitioners and specialty medical teams as required.

Complete required approved clinical privileges and be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Clinical Care and Expertise:

SENIOR REGISTRAR PERIODONTICS

Diagnose and assess patients with periodontal diseases and conditions through clinical examinations, radiographs, and other relevant diagnostic tools.

Perform periodontal surgical procedures as per approved clinical privileges, such as pocket reduction surgery, soft tissue grafting, bone grafting, and dental implant placement.

Monitor and manage patients post-treatment, ensuring proper healing and managing any complications that may arise.

Patient Management& Education:

SENIOR REGISTRAR PERIODONTICS

Educate patients about the importance of oral hygiene, proper maintenance of periodontal health, and the implications of untreated periodontal diseases.

Guide home care practices, including brushing, flossing, and using interdental aids.

Develop personalized treatment plans that may involve non-surgical and surgical interventions, including scaling and root planning, periodontal surgeries, and implant placement.

 Attends the Continuing Medical Education Programme of the department/division

To be available and accessible for referrals and consultations from other disciplines, according to his/her interests and special experience.

Strictly adhere to ethical and professional standards, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing staff, allied health professionals, and consultants, to facilitate efficient patient care and ensure appropriate consultations when needed.

Educate patients and their families about their medical condition, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions. Address their questions, and concerns, and provide appropriate resources for ongoing support.

Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department/division.

Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (Total Quality Medicine Programme, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as applicable.

Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties (SCFHS) about continuing medical education.

Deputizes for his superior as required and shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues.

Serves on hospital committees as requested.

Stays abreast of the latest advancements in periodontal treatments and technologies through ongoing professional development activities, such as attending conferences, and workshops, and staying updated on relevant medical literature.

Participate in Community activities related to health education and patient education practice.

Participates in CQI&PS System Control Activities, Staff Development, Environmental Safety Awareness and Fire and Safety Practices, Disaster, CPR and Infection Control.

Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities.

EDUCATION AND LICENSE:

Saudi Board or equivalent higher qualification in Periodontics from a recognized institution

Board certification or eligibility of diploma in Periodontics equivalent.

Valid SCFHS Accreditation and Registration.

Valid BLS certification.

Skills :

Ability to use scientific techniques to sort through data and conflicting information to reach an accurate medical diagnosis.

Ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a multicultural team environment with all levels of healthcare professionals, and technical and administrative staff.

Self-motivated and with awareness of current trends in the fields.

Ability to use problem-solving to evaluate patients’ symptoms and administer the appropriate treatments.

Experience in customizing and extending Dynamics 365 solutions using Power Platform, Azure services, custom workflows, and plugins.
Strong expertise in data migration, data integration, and data management within the Dynamics 365 environment.
Familiarity with code versioning, source control, and branching strategies in Dynamics 365 projects.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Good communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders, including technical and non-technical team members.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are mandatory.

Job purpose
The job holder is responsible for supervising audit activities including risk management, annual audit planning, supervising systems, applications, and all IT-related operations audits in order to assess the compliance of relevant departments with policies, procedures, processes, and guidelines in an independent manner, and follow-up on implementation of corrective actions, and address cases of non-compliance.

Education, Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT or a related field
Knowledge of the international internal auditing standards issued by the Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors and the unified list of internal audits units.
Certified CISSP or CISA certification is preferable.
Certificate from the Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors is preferable.
Preferred oral and written English language (Basic)

Experience:
7+ years of relevant experience with at least 3 years of experience in a managerial role
Experience in business excellence and ISO quality management system
Previous experience in insurance sector or healthcare sector is a must.
